We’re Now Amara

Same kitchen · Same family · New name

Da India Curry House is becoming Amara

After more than a decade of serving Regina and Saskatoon, we’re growing into a new name. Everything you love about our food and our people stays exactly the same.

You’ll start seeing the Amara name and logo on our signs, menus, packaging and online ordering over the coming weeks.

Why the change

A new name for the next chapter

Da India Curry House started as a single family-run restaurant at 806 Victoria Avenue in Regina. Word of mouth, generous portions and house-made gravies carried us across the city, onto the University of Regina campus and up to Saskatoon.

Along the way we became more than a curry house — a place for celebrations with friends, late-night dinners, birthday desserts and first tastes of soya chaap in Saskatchewan. The new name reflects who we’ve grown into, while the kitchen, the chefs and the recipes remain the ones you know.

Thank you for being part of the journey so far. We can’t wait to welcome you to Amara.

— Chef Kapil Jaggi

Amara lotus mark in cream on forest green
AMARA From the Sanskrit for “everlasting.” The lotus in our mark stands for new beginnings that grow from deep roots — a nod to where we come from and where we’re going.
